With the new season set to get underway tomorrow, it is not just the real stuff that is on the minds of football fans across the world.
A new season of course means a new fantasy football season, and it's increasing popularity over the last few years has meant it's importance between friends, colleagues and family has taken an extra toll.
You will find plenty of websites across the Internet claiming to know the formula to fantasy football success. I won't be doing such a thing, but I will give you the five City players who I believe will score you most points this season.
1) Sergio Aguero
This one was the most obvious choice and after claiming last season's golden boot, you would be foolish not to include him in your squad. Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed this afternoon that Aguero is 100% fit to face West Brom, so any doubts at the back of your mind about whether to persist with the Argentinian from the start should have vanished by now. An obvious selection as captain.
Fantasy rating: 5/5
2) David Silva
Silva is central to City's attacking play and his points tally in the fantasy world over the last few years is just evidence of this. Not only will the little Spaniard provide you with plenty of assist points, but he's also managed to improve his finishing in the last year or 2 to help you with those bonus points. If City are to have a successful season, Silva will be at the heart of it and you won't do much better than him in your midfield.
Fantasy rating: 5/5
3) Raheem Sterling
City's most expensive signing has plenty of potential to bring players plenty of points this season thanks to his ability to unlock a defence with his lightning pace and agility. If pre-season is anything to go by, he seems to be relishing linking up with Silva and these two could be a dangerous pairing alongside Aguero this year.
Fantasy rating: 4/5
4) Yaya Toure
After a poor season by the Ivorian's standards last year, Yaya seems to have come back to Manchester an invigorated player and looks ready to help City win back their Premier League crown. His set-piece ability and tendency to bomb forward means he is a great weapon in fantasy football and with only 3.6% of teams picking him, he could be the key to you finally beating that work colleague!
Fantasy rating: 4/5
5) Joe Hart
After winning the Golden Glove award once again last season, Hart should definitely be considered as the man between your sticks. Valued at 5.5m, he would guarantee clean sheets and points - it's just a case of whether the defence can improve upon their pre-season form! But if Hart can capitalise on the fine form he showed last year, he could be a solid additon to your squad.
Fantasy rating: 3/5
